Big news! Council have approved us in the space of 2 days!! Major record and suprise!! Im so happy that I had to do the happy dance. I can smell that consruction signing already! The praying did pay off haha. We only just received our plans that had been lodged to council today! All we need to do is go the our bank to put our plans and the General housing specifications through.
Hi Andrea,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the council approval we will be closely following your blog as we have paid a holding deposit to landcom for a block of land & are very keen to go with the harmony entertainer. had a look at your plan yours seem to be a bit bigger then the standard. we are anxious to know how much to expect on top of the base price,i know it sounds weird but is there ant way you can give us a rough idea you can pm me if you like i would appreciate it
Hi Shasho7,
ReplyDeleteWhere abouts are you building?
They Harmony entertainer is a fantastic design.
Yes we only just widened the house by 55cms, and we also had to enlarge the garage to council standards. Id say you would expect site costs around 16000+ . Statutory authority with basix around close to 20000, that also depends on your slab ours was a H2 and it also depends on the area. But its good to over estimate anyway. How far along are you? We are just waiting on our construction paperwork. What are your changes to your place? So exciting to see other people also building the harmony :)
Did you went to carpet and tiles package!! what's your main floor tiles size?
DeleteHi Andrea,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your reply we will be building at edmondson park in south west sydney, the land is not due for registration until later this year but we were looking at house designs & have finally settled for the harmony haven't approached allworth yet hence wanted to get an rough idea we dont expect to make any changes to the plan but we would love the lounge/media in the front if that is not costing us big money
Hi shash07
DeleteCongrats for choose harmony entertainer, best luck with allworth,,
Wow its really amazing, congrats andrea..
ReplyDeleteHopefully sign contract soon once PCCC got approval, Keep contact with your CSO...
Hi, cameron thanks for your wishes hey andrea would like to know what upgrades did you go for the kitchen with regards to the doors, bench top etc & a rough estimate ur kitchen bench from the fridge position to the walk in pantry door is 3550 was that space extended cause i thought the standard was 3000
ReplyDeleteThanks Cameron! Yeah hopefully we get those contracts real soon. =)
ReplyDeletewhat are the upgrades you did? what brick you choose!!
ReplyDeleteupdate your blog with colour selection and upgrades list..
ReplyDeleteWe upgraded our kitchen benchtop to be ceasar. They had a promo where you could get ducted air con and ceasar for about 12000 extra. Because we widened the house it also extended the WIP and it also extended our island bench. Extension costed us about $5000. We didn't upgrade much in the kitchen. Colour scheme we chose two colours for our kitchen cupboards.
ReplyDeletei was removed ducted/stone benchtop got a credit of 12k, we upgraded bricks, door handles, mixer taps, kitchen bench space exended and fridge moved tp media wall, termimesh, 4.8m panel lift door all around 10k upgrades
ReplyDeleteAll that listed in my blog at early stages
yeah we also did our garage as well. Never liked the in between bit. Our tiles were standard size, we upgraded our carpet to be nylon and it was more plush and softer. The wool carpet premium that they put on their display homes was quite expensive per square meter.
