The inspector..
We have organised a Building Inspector to come and inspect our house. We chose to go with Jims Building because it was in budget and Ben who did the inspection was fantastic. We found some minor faults to the house. And it gave us a peace of mind to what we needed to look for and fix before handover, which is coming very soon. Allworth said that it would likely be on the 7th of October. Since we haven't beeen able to see the inside of our house, Ben had taken alot of photos of the inside that we couldn't see. We were excited to see that vanities were installed, bath, bathroom tiles, front porch tiles were in, laundry tub in and laundry cabinets that we had added. Just happy with the colours! So if your building GET a building inspector its totally worth it.

We are also thinking to get a building inspector as well. How many visits you have arranged and how much they charge?
ReplyDeleteWe have only had one inspection, at lock up stage. But you can get an inspection at frame stage or lock up stage or completion stage. Jims building charged us $350 only for lockup. But its good to ring around and get some prices depends on your budget and how thorough the inspectors are. They normally recommend inspection at lockup and completion just to make sure they are up to Australian building standards.
